The first Share the Road sign goes up in York Region
After months of collaboration with the municipalities and the region, the first Share the Road sign was installed today at 10 am. The sign went up on schedule at the corner of King-Vaughan Line and Weston Road. In attendance were Marilyn Iafrate and Tony Carella, two Vaughan councillors who helped immensely in pushing this initiative forward. Behind the scenes were the efforts of staff from the region and the municipalities, including Shawn Smith and Geoffrey Haines. Thanks to all for making cycling safety a priority in York Region. Over the next few days, many more Share the Road signs will be installed across York Region. Look for them on your next ride.
